Advantages of Global Marketing
Advantages of Global Marketing Globalisation To define the key processes for globalisation, a number of issues exist in order to clearly define the different perspectives of globalisation (e.g. Neoliberal, Counter-hegemonic etc) and the particular branch (e.g. economic, cultural etc). Globalisation itself is the process facilitating the international operation of financial and investment markets mostly due to deregulation and improved communications. Fischer (2003) proposes the ongoing process of greater interdependence among countries and their citizens. Harris defines globalisation as an economic process increasing the internationalism of production and distribution of goods and services whereas Friedman defines it as that loose combination of free trade agreements, the Internet and the integration of financial markets that is erasing borders and uniting the world into a single, lucrative, but brutally competitive marketplace (cited in Datta-Ray et al., 2008). Dicken (2011) proposes 4 parallel processes; localisation -concentration of economic activities with varying degrees of functional integration, internationalisation -the dispersion of economic activities across national boundaries with low levels of functional integration, globalisation demonstrating geographical spread and a high degree of functional integration regionalisation- same but slightly less widely dispersed. Global jobs refer to posts held by knowledge workers-a concept coined by Drucker (cited in Wartzman, 2014) to mean an individual employed in the task of developing or using knowledge. Drucker further clarified this by defining them as those who work differently than those of an industrial and agricultural age cerebrally rather than physically involved. Today, the roles are no longer mutually exclusive however, as those physically involved, may well contribute significant knowledge. The question can be asked as to whether companies should act as if there is a single market motivated by the same demands, or should they account for local or cultural differences when developing or marketing the cultures they serve? Globalisation is more than administering to foreign markets from a single corporate HQ. It is the globalization of the HQ itself, with different senior corporate functions being located in many parts of the world. By achieving this, the company in effect becomes local mimicking the behaviour of an indigenous company because key corporate decisions are made within the countrys borders even though those decisions have global impact. A company truly becomes global when it mimics a local company in as many different countries as it can. The possibilities of entering the global market require serious research and investment in order to produce successful results. Jones (2016) pointed out that many organisations have neither the proficiency nor the required strategic contacts in order to commence the global marketing process and concluded that there were advantages in the hiring of intermediary companies to act as representatives. Griffith (2013) outlined necessary management skills namely planned and improvisational decision making and soft skills which enhance the decision process-essential owing to the dynamic nature of the global markets. Delaney (2016) listed 4 advantages of global marketing-(a) Cost reduction and savings from an increasingly expanding market that strives to remain competitive. This is largely reliant on communications advances with multimedia and international broadband internet input, (b) Improved product and service effectiveness largely also due to significantly improved communications and multi-media awareness, (c) stronger competitive advantage compared to the number of firms that as of yet have failed to embrace globalisation and (d) heightened customer awareness regarding the global phenomena where customers can monitor the progress of their delivery. Additionally, negotiations with an increasingly diverse clientele generates significantly valuable experience in global trade. According to Neveling et al. (2014), ethics plays a key role on Chinese society, however ethics in business is relatively new territory, driven by reflections on economic reform, tradition and the influence of both Marxist philosophy foreign business ethics. China has a poor reputation in this filed with numerous examples e.g. when Toyota discovered a Chinese manufacturer using their logo on its cars, litigation ruled against Toyota when in the eyes of the court, the Toyota brand was not recognised in China. Subsequently, China is becoming a target for international litigation resulting in threats of sanctions. China has relented and is improving as a result. Neveling et al. (2014) also discussed the Chinese requirement for technology leading to increased multinational business transactions. The Chinese market is viewed with caution regarding breach of patents and theft, however the size of the market has acted as a deterrent for withdrawal by global corporations. Essay --
Edouard Manet, often considered one of the founders of modern art, certainly challenged the norm and incited thought through his paintings and sketches. His works challenged social norms and were critical of politics. As we look at his art today it is hard to see how his work is controversial. The images within his paintings that seem little more than after thought, would have shocked and appalled people of the mid 19th century. However, with a little more knowledge pertaining to the meaning of the imagery, and how it would be perceived at the time, it is a wonder that Manet died of natural causes rather than riot or execution. He deliberately used images from famous paintings and applied them in ways that would either draw parallels to the original work or contradict it completely. Manet also used techniques to involve his audience in the painting, essentially extending the work beyond the canvas. The Execution of Emperor Maximilian is no exception to any of these rules. It is crucial to understand the brief history of the event depicted in Manetââ¬â¢s painting The Execution of Emperor ...

Scarface, Directed by Brian De Palma Essay -- Scarface Al Pacino
Scarface, Directed by Brian De Palma Tony Montana has taken just so much shit his whole life. Heââ¬â¢s been oppressed and repressed and mocked and called a spic and turned on by his own country (Cuba) that heââ¬â¢s just not going to take any shit anymore. Heââ¬â¢ll shoot someone just for pissing him off, which is almost admirable, or at the very least understandable. Iââ¬â¢m not advocating violence; all Iââ¬â¢m saying is that we all have our limits and if someone treated me the way Tony Montana had been treated his whole life ââ¬â if they spit on me, and degraded me, and mocked me and doubted any power I might have, I might want to prove them wrong. Of course, itââ¬â¢s a movie, and we know it well; Scarface with Al Pacino as the Cuban immigrant turned drug lord with his mountains of coke and his beautiful but, basically dead, wife, Elvira, living what he believes is the American dream. Elvira, Tonyââ¬â¢s wife, played perfectly by Michelle Pfieffer, is beautiful and so cool sheââ¬â¢s ice cold, whose only job is to be an ornament, and who comes from somewhere in Baltimore, weââ¬â¢re told, and whose only goal, it seems, is to just be taken care of by all these rich and violent thugs. She doesnââ¬â¢t seem phased by all the guns and underworld thugs that hang around the house, but then, her nose is so packed full of coke that this is not really a surprise. Most of the time, sheââ¬â¢s got this false cocaine-calm aloofness that lends itself to comparisons with a mannequin. Her power and her trump is that ultimately, we get the sense that itââ¬â¢s a role sheââ¬â¢s chosen ââ¬â not one that was ever put upon her. That itââ¬â¢s all within her control. Men like Tony Montana are brought to their knees by her cool beauty and icy aloofness. Sheââ¬â¢s like coke they canââ¬â¢t buy or trade or snort or get enough of, but surely as powerful . But ultimately, sheââ¬â¢s just some middle-class chick form Baltimore who was probably really bored and moved to Miami for some excitement. Sheââ¬â¢s a bitch. As Tony says to her, ââ¬Å"You got a look like you havenââ¬â¢t been fucked in a year.â⬠And itââ¬â¢s true. Maybe she knows her power is in the withholding, but this can only last for so long; a tease works because ultimately, there has to be something at the end of it. If itââ¬â¢s all attitude and cock tease, after a while, that gets boring and the furthest thing from sexy. Somethingââ¬â¢s gotta give. Tony Montana wants, as he says, ââ¬Å"whatââ¬â¢s coming to me,â⬠which is ââ¬Å"t... ...e power of all this seduction so that at the critical moment we can say ââ¬Å"Noâ⬠. We choose power over fucking and engaging with another human being, and we do this because of fear. Because in this age of psychotherapy, were everything is a fucking issue (pun intended) as if our boyfriend cheating or leaving us would cause a complete breakdown, as it has and does for so many girls today. Girls today, with few exceptions, donââ¬â¢t get back out there like Carole King or Carly Simon and belt out our anger and pain in some healthy way in a song with scathing lyrics. Instead, young women today run for the shelter of pastel pills and their standby bottles of Xanax and Zoloft and frantic calls to their therapists and lock themselves in their Back Bay apartments with their cats because weââ¬â¢re all so fucking fragile. Itââ¬â¢s pathetic. Carole King and Carly Simon and so many others went through the same heartache but they didnââ¬â¢t run away; they belted it out in songs like ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re so Vainâ⬠or ââ¬Å"Total Eclipse of the Heartâ⬠(sang by Bonnie Tyler by written by Meatloaf), and Abba and Fleetwood Mac who made a life-style of heartache and fucking ââ¬â because that is life. These women seem a lot braver to me.

Nutrition Essay
1.Select a sweetener. Sucrose 2.Explore the history of the sweetener (when it was developed, its composition). Sucrose, according to our text, is composed of one glucose (the most common sugar molecule) molecule and one fructose (the sweetest natural sugar) molecule. The bond is called glycosidic linkage. Because of this mixture, Sucrose is known to be sweeter than lactose or maltose (the other 2 out of the 3 most common disaccharides, which is a carbohydrate compound consisting of 2 or more molecules joined together). The history of sucrose dates back to thousands and thousands of years ago when the sugar cane was discovered in the South Pacific, rumored specifically to have been found in New Guinea. Its molecular formula is C12H22O11. (taken from Wikipedia) 3.Discuss safety and the sweetener that you have selected. When pure, sucrose has an energy content of 3.94 kilocalories per gram, which helps give someone that instant ââ¬Å"jolt of energyâ⬠they are looking for. This becomes unsafe when consumed in large amounts and when looking at it from a health standpoint, should not be used for that jolt. When using Sucrose in moderation, or small doses, it does not pose as may risk factors as it does when over consumed. Also, please note that there really is not any nutritional value in Sucrose itself. Typically, sucrose is spoken of as table sugar. The most common health risk of Sucrose would be linked to tooth decay and other dental issues. Other health issues linked to a diet with an over-abundance of sucrose would be hypoglycemia or diabetes mellitus. 4.Examine the relationship between the sweetener that you have selected and obesity. There is a lot to be said about sugars of any type in your diet. When it comes to Sucrose consumption leading to obesity, it really depends on the type and frequency of the consumption itself. For instance, some drinks containing high levels of sucrose may be linked to the development of obesity and insulin resistance. Also, as said above, it can lead to dental problems and possibly diabetes. It has also been assumed that Sucrose can lead to metabolic syndrome. This is a combination of medical disorders that can increase diabetes and cardiovascular diseases when working together. Because this occurs within the insulin-resistant, it does not necessarily mean you are obese if youââ¬â¢re diagnosed, but it does mean that it can increase ones chances of being obese. So when all is said in done, use Sucrose or any sweeteners for that fact, in low-moderation to avoid any health risks that result in the o ver consumption of Sucrose.

How WW1 Led To WW2 Essay
WW1 was the most gruesome war up until that time. With the central powers fighting the allied powers, germany was defeated and forced to take all blame for WW1 which led to WW2. They were forced to admit the war was their fault, pay all damages, and lose their military. After the war, all powers met in France and discussed the treaty of versailles and all allied powers except the U.S. made Germany sign the document and admit that the war was entirely their fault. They hoped it would keep Germany from starting another war but in reality it sparked them to get revenge. Also in the treaty, the allied powers forced them to pay for all expenses in the war. The total cost was well over a billion dollars. This hurt the economic system of Germany and they couldnââ¬â¢t pay for it all. It sparked the Germans to once again get revenge on the allied powers and gain control of their country again. IN the treaty, the military power was ceased from Germany. They were now left defenseless. When Adolf Hitler comes to power the first thing he does is restore the army and navy so Germany isnt completely defenselss and he wants the strongest army in the world to go back out and defeat the allied powers. Even though all the allied powers wanted was full revenge on Germany for their many expenses and casualities, it led to another war full of more expenses and casualities. Hitler stepped into power and didnââ¬â¢t think it was fair for the Germans to be treated this way. WW2 then begins and it the most destructive war ever.

Architecture and Commerce-Free-Samples for Students-Myassignment
Carson Pirie Scott Department Store was the first building in the nineteenth century that incorporated the word skyscrapers in the city of Chicago 1 . The fruits of a new prosperity are enjoyed when the dawns of enlightened views break through the dark problems that surround us thereby creating a new freedom for the human kind Carson Pirie Scott Department Store breaks the monotony of crowds of the tall building along State and Madison Streets of Chicago. The structure is constructed of bronze on the ground floor with the facades finished on broad white. The building serves to illustrate the relationship between architecture and commerce. Being an architect of the neoclassical times, Sullivan maintained his phrase of form follows function in his design work. He thus resorted to coming up with a building that reflects the social functions that are to be served by the space 2 .à This was after he analyzed the challenges of high-rise commercial architecture. He illustrates his philosophy through describing an ideal tripartite skyscraper in which the first level which is the base level is the ground floor that houses business activities. The ease of public access, open space and light dominate. The second level is accessed by the public through the 3 staircase. The next level encompasses offices which have the same design because they serve the same function. As was argued by some of the modernist architects of the time, Sullivan based his design achieving more of functionality than beauty. It is possible to build a beautiful structure but at that time Sullivan went for a structure that is ugly but functional as opposed to just erecting just faà §ade architecture. Sullivan illustrates his philosophy in the design of Carson Pirie Scott Department Store in which he gives emphasis to the lower street level and entrance that attract shoppers into the store. He achieves that by using very large windows on the ground floor used in displaying products, placing the three doors that serve as the entrance within a rounded bay at a corner of the site 4 . The placement of the doors makes them visible from any direction when one is approaching the building. Giedion, Sigfried. Space, Time and Architecture: The Growth of a New Tradition.
